Each year, WAN-IFRA honors excellence in newspaper engagement of the young through the World Young Reader Prizes. Newspapers of all sizes and from all regions compete for these prizes by describing the innovative projects they have done for readers under age 25 in the previous 24 months. Top winners for the World Young Reader Prizes for 2011 will receive their awards at the 9th World Young Reader Conference set for 16-18 November in Madrid, Spain. The theme of the conference is “Newspapers and the young in a mobile world”.
