Project Background

WAN-IFRA through its Global Alliance for Media Innovation (GAMI) has joined CPN (Content Personalisation Network), a research and innovation action funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 funding framework. Other partners in this 30 months long project include inter alia VRT (Belgium Public Broadcaster), Deutsche Welle and Digital Catapult London.

The CPN Project aims for user data to be used and combined with content metadata through the use of advanced mapping technology in order to create better information distribution, while at the same time respecting user privacy at all cost.

From the viewpoint of the media consumer, the challenge is to enable a better delivery of news, insights and information in the right format at the right time, and better contextualized to the media consumer.
