Roberto Pombo is Editor-in-Chief of EL TIEMPO, leading one of the most ambitious projects of multimedia convergence in Latin America.

As well as his work at the newsroom of EL TIEMPO, Roberto has experience at different media platforms: he was director of Viva.FM, at Caracol Radio; director of Semana weekly, director of TV Hoy news, and he was a journalist for Colprensa News agency, the newspaper El Heraldo and Alternativa magazine.

He studied law at Los Andes University. He has received the Simón Bolívar Nacional Award of Journalism and the Ortega and Gasset award from El País.
