Benjamin Gajkowski is Projectmanager Premium Products at the newscooperation DIE WELT at Axel Springer SE. In this position he is responsible for the development of the DIE WELT Smartphone-Apps, which include the mobile applications on iOS, Android and Blackberry 10.
Being part of the team, which implemented the first paywall of a national newswebsite in Germany in December 2012, Benjamin has gained detailed knowledge on paid strategies for mobile devices and in the sales and marketing-activities for mobile applications. Benjamin is also responsible for the cooperation business within the DIE WELT ONLINE-department.
After studying history and politics, Benjamin also graduated from the Axel-Springer-Academy, one of the leading Journalism-Schools in Germany. He has worked at serveral newspapers like DIE WELT, DIE WELT Kompakt, Berliner Morgenpost, Berliner Morgenpost Kompakt, Magazines like VIEW and online editorial-teams like DIE WELT ONLINE, stern.de, Bild.de or the editorial team of the DIE WELT or BILD iPad-App before joining the product-development-department at DIE WELT ONLINE.
