Introduction to Event

In tradition, the words in Chinese newspaper are presented vertically, but more often, they are horizontal when there are English and numbers.

Therefore, art designers for Chinese newspaper dedicate themselves to make layout more reader-friendly, so that readers can follow the text lines in order.

What’s more, Chinese characters are square hieroglyphic writing; designers need to pay more attention to make the headline and graphs as harmonious as possible—not only the true meaning of words be conveyed but also the aesthetics of page be perceived as well.

This course is intended to introduce you to the skills for designing Chinese newspaper and share infographic examples from design award winning articles from Apple Daily.
