Recognising the best projects in the news media industry
WAN-IFRA’s Digital Media Awards honour European news publishers whose projects and products showcase creativity, inspiration and service to their readers. We are happy to announce the winners in the 17th year of the awards!
Each of this year’s winning initiatives displays outstanding innovation, from AI-use cases that increase value for audiences and better efficiencies for staff, to community focused data projects that represent local journalism at its best.
We are grateful to all the publishers who submitted projects this year, and once again extend our sincerest thanks to our expert jury members. See the complete list of all winning projects here!

How does it work?
Choose the category in which you want to participate, review our guidelines and if you have any questions please send us an email. Once you have the general information about your project ready, you can upload it to the platform, edit it and finally submit it. Remember that the entry fee must be paid by 1 March.
The projects will be evaluated by an exclusive panel of editors and media executives from all over the world. The full list of judges remains confidential during the competition and is disclosed simultaneously with the Awards results.
Winning entries will be published on 15 April.
