Giulio Lattanzi has been Managing Director of Italy's RCS Quotidiani since April 2010. RCS Quotidiani publishes Corriere della Sera, the first national newspaper and Gazzetta dello Sport, the first sports daily, together with City (free press newspaper, second in number of readers). His professional career began in 1979 at Reader’s Digest. The following year, he became part of Mondadori publishing group, first at Book Club, then in an affiliated company focused on direct marketing services. In 1991, he was at RCS Mediagroup publishing company where he held several positions. He began managing Sales and Marketing in RCS Periodici, the magazines dept; on 1993 he becomes Publisher of Women’s magazines. In 1995 he joined RCS Libri, one of the leading players in the field of European book publishing. It has authoritative imprints and a significant presence in Spain, France and the USA. In RCS Libri, Lattanzi is in charge of Part works business; later in 1999 the Books dept was under his responsibility. In June 2003 he was nominated Managing Director of RCS Libri; and since April 2005 is he also C.E.O. In RCS group he is also President of CITY and RCS Digital (multimedia dept) and he is member of the board of Directors of some subsidiary and associated companies. He also teaches “Economics and Management of publishing companies” at Bologna University headed by Umberto Eco. He wrote “Come misurare i risultati” (“How to measure results”), Sarin 1987.
